chronicle II - call to adventure

to the person who understood me

part of chronicle II

To the person who understood me, thank you.

I was in a lonely place.

I felt invisible.

I was away from everything I knew - I had lost it all.

I desperately craved connection.

I needed my mind and soul to be understood.

It was once said that when you're with the right people, you don't have to translate your soul.

I was tired from translating mine.

But you heard me when I told you I needed to be understood.

And you told me that I was understood.

That meant more to me than you know.

That was the moment I realised:

I was never hard to understand.

I was never hard to see.

That gave me hope.

That gave me direction.

I knew then that I needed to move toward the light.

In that moment, something stirred - I realised I would need to go home, if I ever wanted to feel understood again.

what would it mean to be seen so deeply that you are no longer alone?
